What is a Candy Bar Scene, you ask? A CBS is one of those scenes that you just can’t wait to write, a scene that is so much fun that it’s a reward for sitting still in front of the computer instead of playing in the sprinkler with the kids, a scene that you know the reader will thank you for.
In other words, a Candy Bar Scene is a big part of why you are a writer.
