I can sometimes comment on questions asked in the community. I cannot grade homework. I’ve had offers to pay me insane amounts of money to consult, but I don’t have the time.

I create the courses because I don’t have the time for individual one-on-one feedback.

I'd planned something like this, set up a site, and put together a couple of modules---and then discovered that I couldn't afford to create the modules (costs exceeded profits). I've since figured out a new way to create the modules less expensively, and am now considering starting the project back up again.

HOWEVER...

I do not include anything in my e-books or small courses that I include in the school. And I don't do more than touch bases on the things I taught in the e-books within the school. What you learn in How To Think Sideways does not exist anywhere else. I think any business model that has people buying the same content twice is appalling, and I won't do it. So even though you'd bought the e-books, you haven't scratched the surface of what I teach in How To Think Sideways.

I have one question, or rather criticism. rather than the subscription-style “school” model, had you thought of having individual lessons available to DL for a free? for example, I think I have a handle on dialogue and characterization (the latter in part due to your e-book) and wouldn’t need help there, but I would in other areas.

and that way students could work at their own pace.

Hi, I’m really sorry to be off topic here, but I can’t see anywhere else to ask. I’m trying to sign up for the class, but it just keeps taking me back to the same page, not to paypal. I’ve found wonderful gems in everything I’ve received from you–the things I’ve paid for AND the things you’ve given away.
