Linear or Non-linear: how do you write?
avatar

Some writers begin at the beginning and write straight through to the end, only moving scenes occasionally when revision demands it.

Other writers jump around a bit more, writing scenes as the fancy strikes, and compiling them into a complete story at the end of that process.

So… which are you? Do you like to have things planned so the entire story is ready to roll off your fingertips in order? Or do you like to jump to your exciting “candy bar” scenes and figure out how they tie together later? All members are invited to join the discussion here and let us know what works for you.
